Indaux India, Indaux’s new partnership

The opening of Indaux’s new headquarters in the Indian Sub-continent is part of the 3 years multi-location strategy by the Basque company

Indaux India was established on August 6 this year and is the result of the strategic alliance between Indaux and two local industrial partners: Mr. Vinay Kothari and Mr. Sudhir Mehta. On behalf of Indaux, the direction of the new company is complemented by Mr. Javier García and Mr. Mikel Arzallus.

The new Indaux’s affiliated company in India aims to manufacture and market its’ range of products in this country and those in the SAARC region. The main offices are located in the city of Pune, of great industrial tradition, being the seventh largest city in India with more than 5 million inhabitants and the second largest in the state of Maharashtra after Mumbai.

The president of the new company will be Mr. Rajeev Okhandiar, until now CEO at Vans Gypsum India, and who has previously held senior management positions in other multinational companies such as Saint-Gobain India or Hettich. Rajeev will collaborate closely with Mr. Asier Lizaso, Indaux area manager, in the development of the commercial actions for the region.

Mr. Oscar Camp also joins the team as the responsible for the internal organization of the project. Oscar is an industrial engineer from EUSS, the Salesian University School of Sarria (Barcelona), and moves to India after completing a training period at Indaux’s headquarters in Getaria.

Enrique Rioja, Indaux Group General Manager, explains:

Rajeev Okhandiar, Indaux India President, also says:

The vision of setting up manufacturing facilities here in India shall be a determining factor in achieving these objectives.”

Indaux India will present its offer during the next edition of the Delhiwood fair, to be held from 4 to 7 February 2015.

Indaux began as Industrias Auxiliares in Getaria in 1962, working as a small machinery workshop specialising in making furniture components. Nowadays, INDAUX leads the furniture fitting sector in Spain and has become a benchmark brand internationally, working in more than 70 countries with over 2000 customers around the globe.
