Indaux has renewed its ISO 9001:2015 certification for the design, production and marketing of drawers and fittings for the furniture industry. ISO 9001 is the most widely recognised quality management standard in the world.

ISO 9001:2015 specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organization:

a) needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and

b) aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Indaux obtains the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) authorisation after successfully passing the audits carried out by Customs on 22 October 2021. This certificate proves that the company complies with the standard established by the European Union Customs Code in order to be considered a trustworthy entity in the international supply chain.

Obtaining the AEO is a big step forward for Indaux, as it will give us several advantages when operating in the European Economic Community, as well as reliability, which translates into a greater likelihood that customers will place their trust in us.

Asier Lizaso joined Indaux 8 years ago and and in this period he has assumed responsibility for practically all areas of the commercial department. During his years as Sales Director, he has been in charge of developing the Asian, British, Middle Eastern, Oceanic and Iberian Peninsula markets. He has signed important agreements with new distributors in some markets where the company had not present until now and has achieved to strengthen the collaboration with agents and distributors who have worked with Indaux for decades. He has also been actively involved in the openings of the US and Indian subsidiaries. In the last season, he has managed to establish key agreements with new strategic clients and has led the digitization of the commercial department.

Asier Lizaso holds a Senior Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Navarra (Tecnun) and has Finance studyes for Management, by the Chamber of Commerce of Gipuzkoa. Prior to joining Indaux, he was responsible for sales for the kitchen furniture manufacturer Xey for almost 10 years. He worked for three years as an engineer at the Detroit headquarters of GKN Driveline and three years as Customer Manager in Spain. Asier Lizaso will replace Mikel Arzallus, who after 27 years at Indaux has decided to start a new professional life, although he will continue to be linked to Indaux as an external adviser.

Miren Garay, who has been promoted to Head of International Sales, joined Indaux in 2007 as Product Manager. Four years later and with the new organization of the commercial department she was promoted to Sales Executive. Since 2016, she has held the position of Area Manager for France, Italy and the Maghreb and has developed strategic projects with top-ranking European Industrial clients, as well as developed a presence in the large-area sector (DIY, “Do it yourself”). Before joining Indaux, she worked for 6 years at Valois Internacional (Aptar Group). Garay has a degree in International Trade from the University of Bordeaux.

The president of Indaux India explains in this interview how the hardware sector is growing in India, hand-in-hand with the increase of modular solutions for homes and offices. Indaux was established in India in 2015 and has created a solid distribution network in the country, where it competes with other companies that have been established for more than 20 years. However, Rajev Okhandiar recognises the leadership of the Indaux brand in certain products, such as sliding or lift-up doors, like the Delta 3. And he highlighted the star product in this market, the hardware for sliding cabinet doors, the Junior 6 Coplanar. This is a solution that up till now was aimed at high-end cabinets with custom-designed doors, but Indaux has managed to democratise the hardware thanks to the efforts of its R&D department, which has designed a simple mounting solution for applying on cabinets of any size.

With the renewal of this certification, Indaux demonstrates its commitment to excellence in each of its products, processes and interactions and remains true to its commitment to its customers.

Also in this sense, the company has convincingly passed the internal audits of several clients such as Adeo, Schmidt or Gautier, among others.

One of six Indaux corporate values is responsibility. Indaux is a company committed to the social, economic and environmental well-being of its surroundings, working with a long-term vision. Among the initiatives with which Indaux contributes to the welfare of society is the social and labour inclusion of the disabled. This is materialised through a collaboration agreement with Gureak, a business group that generates and manages stable employment opportunities adapted to people with disabilities.

Indaux uses the services of Gureak to outsource some auxiliary tasks in the Indaux factories of Aia and Getaria, such as shrink-wrapping, bagging or hanging and taking down parts in the painting section. This corporate social responsibility initiative is a criterion that our strategic customers value and is reflected in the following video.

The video mixes Indaux corporate images with others recorded specifically by Gureak for Bricomart. Gureak made the video with two people from the occupational service, an area that forms part of the social services of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.

In less than three weeks the Maderalia is held (March 10-13) and Indaux has prepared a very up-to-date staging, with an aesthetically clean, yet relaxed atmosphere that breathes a technical air, using the colours of the brand. The stand has a spacious social area to attend the customers in a warm and welcoming way.

The central space will be occupied by three islands displaying the Komplet, Marc, Cisne and Gacela runners and the Ariane, Attraction, Supraplex, Supra, Combi and Europa drawers. The inside walls of the stand will show different Junior 6 sliding door systems, the coplanar cabinets, the hinge range, INDAMATIC / IMPULSE dampers, Delta x 3 lifters, and the Atlas system for suspended furniture. One of the panels will be exclusively dedicated to hangers, which with the new regulation (UNE EN 15939) have the highest load capacity on the market.

Indaux has signed an agreement with the Cairo-based supplier of building material El Khalil – Wood, with several branches throughout Egypt. Founded in 1969, it currently has 120 workers, under the directorship of Osama Khalil.

Having overcome the country’s period of instability, thanks to international financing and budgetary adjustments, the Egyptian economy offers a new panorama, with the construction and energy sectors leading the growth forecasts, which stand at 4%. The development of different housing schemes and the creation of a new administrative capital east of Cairo are in the pipeline.
