Attractive, functionality and design for loads up to 30 kilos

ATTRACTIVEThe Indaux’s latest proposal for kitchen organization needs is the Attractive range of drawers. It combines the minimalist and refined design concept of the Ariane range with a new, more competitive 30 kg ball bearing slide. Attractive is a functional drawer, designed to make the most of the space.

In this way, Indaux provides the market with two lines of drawers with identical aesthetics: the Ariane, which supports loads of up to 50 kilos and the Attractive, with a capacity of up to 30 kilos. Both lines offer great versatility, with a wide range of finishes and combinations. Both the Attractive and the Ariane ranges have three side heights. All drawers are equipped with INDAmatic progressive soft closing, which ensures a smooth slide when opening and closing.

Traser-6, a reference product for module suspension

Our INDAUX TRASER-6 hanger remains, since its launch in the mid-90s, a reference product for the suspension of modules both in the kitchen and in the bathroom. We have continually updated and advanced both technology and design over the years, with additions to the family, improved operating characteristics, tool-free mounting, and increased load capacity, The latest evolution provides the optimal concealed hanger solution according to to the new furniture safety regulations EN-14749.

The hinge drill, an assembly aid

bisadradoraSXAlthough Indaux’s main business is the production and sale of hardware and not machines, we do have different machinery for facilitating the work of assemblers in the furniture industry. Last month we talked about the assembly device for the Ariane drawers, this month we present the hinge drilling machines.

This is a drill that makes the three holes necessary for the insertion of the quick assembly concealed hinges. The machine has a wide range of accessories and different drilling heads to adapt the machining to different parts. Its solid and compact design ensures a long service life. In the photo below, it is installed in a Dutch carpentry workshop, a customer of our dealer Staalimex.

webitThe website in Italian is available at www.indaux.com/it and the catalog can be downloaded here. This step to improve the brand’s visibility in the Italian market is the result of a joint effort between Indaux and Evotrade.

Ludovico Cantelmi, director of Evotrade, works with Indaux in southern Italy as a commercial agent and was responsible for putting Indaux products on Amazon. This was the brand’s first foray into e-commerce and the direct sale of unitary products to the final consumer.

In the north, Indaux has been distributing its products for three decades through the Perín company. Located near Treviso in the Veneto region, Perín mainly sells hangers, drawers, hinges and slides. The company has completed 65 years of history this year, since it was founded in 1955 by the Perín brothers to distribute materials for the construction industry.
With the Italian translation, the catalog is now available in five languages. In addition to Spanish and Italian, it is in English, French and German.

Mounting device for the Ariane

Indaux technical office has developed a machine to optimize the assembly of Ariane drawers. This machine is designed to facilitate the work and ergonomics of assemblers in the furniture industry. By fixing the parts, their use will allow them to assemble drawers and removable modules in a simple and precise way, as well as extend the useful life of the product. It is an internal project developed jointly between the engineering and mechanical teams of Indaux.

Adaptation for the British market

We are gradually recovering the activity and resuming the projects that we had pending before the brutal break that the Coronavirus pandemic has brought about. One of them was the adaptation of our oven drawer to take advantage of the bottom of the oven. In response to the demand of the British kitchen market, we have adapted this drawer to 18-mm side modules, widely used in markets such as the United Kingdom. Until now, this drawer was only mounted on furniture with a 16-millimeter side. This adaptation extends our range of products in the catalog and is an example of the responsiveness of our brand as a provider of flexible solutions for the furniture sector.

Indaux hangers are also leaders in load capacity with the new safety standars EN 15939

Indaux Hangers are now catalogued according to the new European standard for hardware UNE EN 15939. This standard regulates the safety and load capacity of cabinet hangers.

By updating this standard, the European Committee for Standardisation, CEN provides three novelties: 1. Divides furniture into three types according to its use. 2. Recommends a particular hanger for a type of furniture and 3. Provides additional information as to the nature of the forces involved, so that the correct hanger can be chosen.

The three types of furniture are: tall kitchen furniture, whose height is much greater than their depth; a low wall-mounted kitchen unit, which supports dynamic forces and requires high load specific tests; and console type suspended furniture.

The standard recommends that hardware manufacturers should indicate each hangers’ maximum weight capacity. Indaux fittings are once again ahead of their competitors, as they all offer more load capacity. The following table summarizes the load capacities offered by Indaux hangers for each type of furniture.

Indaux products are now available on Amazon. This is the brand’s first contact with ecommerce and is a strategic step to bridging the gap with the end consumer. The project is led by Ludovico Cantelmi, Indaux Area Manager Italy.

The Indaux Multistore Catalogue on Amazon includes Komplet and Cisne 45 Runners, Delta and gas Stays, Hinges, Soft Close Indamatic Dampers and Attraction Drawer Kits. To date the orders have come from: Italy 40%, France 30% , Spain 20%, Germany 10%.

The European Committee for Standardisation publishes the new hanger standard

The The European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) has just published the update of the UNE EN 15939 standard on hardware. Principally, this standard regulates the strength measurement and load capacity of the hangers. Indaux has been heavily involved in the update of this standard, thanks to its know-how on wall fixing devices and its participation in the CEN for more than 20 years.

The new standard provides manufacturing recommendations and has updated the tests on three types of furniture that are currently in high demand in the market. These three types of furniture are: tall kitchen furniture, whose height is much greater than their depth; a low wall-mounted kitchen unit, which supports dynamic forces and requires high load specific tests; and console type suspended furniture, i.e. very long pieces.

Video tutorial of the hanger Traser 6 anti-tilt

It continues the publication of video product tutorials on the YouTube channel of Indaux. This time it is Traser 6 anti Tilt, an advanced safety system for the concealed hanger Traser 6, which includes a metal plate that acts as a safety element. The main feature is that the safety activates itself, without any need to change the installation procedure, or to include an extra step or to change the installation instructions. The safety becomes active during the mounting process itself.
