Indaux’s sales department has been reinforced with the recruitment of Iñigo Sagarna, who will be responsible for strengthening the Asia-Pacific markets after the promotion of Asier Lizaso to Sales Director. An Industrial Technical engineer from the University of the Basque Country with a Masters Degree in International Commerce from Deusto, Sagarna comes from the Gas & Oil sector where he was Sales Director at Comdiflex for seven years. Prior to this, he had extensive experience in other sectors, such as the paper industry.
For Indaux, the Asian market is crucial as explained in a report published in the Empresa XXI newspaper, which takes stock of the four years since the subsidiary was established in India. In 2050, China and India will control half of international commerce, which will make Asia the primary economic centre. Against this background, Indaux decided, in 2014, to mount a commercial joint-venture with two Indian industrial partners, Vinay Kothari and Sudhir Mehta.
As the Managing Director of Indaux, Javier García, explained in that interview, Indaux does not want to look at that economic centre solely from an export point of view. The company’s philosophy is “not to relocate, but to multilocate to cover new markets, as we are convinced that multilocation will bring work to the Basque Country. Because the products and processes will continue to be designed here and we will sell more products manufactured in the Basque Country”.
