The magazine produced by the Russian business group Ametist devoted its latest issue to a report on Indaux, after the visit to Moscow by Mikel Arzalluz, sales director from the brand and Asier Lizaso, Head Sales Manager in charge of the Russian market. Amestist has been Indaux’s partner in Russia for over 20 years and it is one of the most important business holdings in Russia. It employs over 1000 people of whom 350 work in the furniture division. It mainly distributes accessories and fabric for furniture and produces other metal accessories for furniture.
In addition to selling its catalogue through Ametist, Indaux works in Russia via retail parks. The Russian market has great growth potential. After the country opened up in the 1990s, the office furniture industry developed to equip the headquarters of multinationals setting up there. Much of that local furniture industry has now become kitchen and bathroom furniture manufacturing thanks to cultural changes and increased consumer demand.
“Despite Russia’s current difficult socio-political situation, this year we are continuing to grow based on being able to add new products and a lot of this work is done closely with Ametist. As a sign of our support and confidence in the market, in November we will return to the Mebel fair in Moscow, the largest fair targeting Russian and Eastern European markets in terms of scale and business efficiency,” explains Asier Lizaso, in charge of the Russian market.
