Hotz Zarautz is a platform which has the objective of helping refugees. Since it began functioning some months ago, the platform has organised a variety of successful campaigns, on the one hand to raise funds and, on the other, to collect and send clothes and food to the different camps.
Indaux has collaborated with this platform, providing support for its logistics organisation. On March 15th a trailer was sent to two refugee camps in Germany’s Black Forest. The goods were sent by the haulage company that transports Indaux shipments to Germany and the lorry – which took fourteen pallets from Zarautz, fourteen from Agurain and 38 from Bergara – was loaded at our Getaria installations.
At the end of May a second shipment will be sent, with a combination of material from two donation campaigns. On the one hand, it will contain food, pharmaceutical products, tents, sleeping bags, sun creams, hats, etc., collected by Hotz Zarautz. And, on the other, the footwear collected thanks to the #katiuskaerronka challenge organised by Donostia Kultura. All of the material collected in the campaigns has been organised and sorted by more than 150 volunteers in an industrial building of 1,500 m2 made available by Indaux to Hotz Zarautz.
