Our distributor in Portugal has invested around two months in brightening up its showroom in Amadora (a district in Lisbon). In addition to painting and changing the coatings, Fapimepe has taken the opportunity to renovate its display. In the new showroom, you can principally see the drawers: Attraction, Ariane, Combi and Europa; runners, hangers, hinges and eccentric cam fittings, although Fapimepe distributes practically the entire Indaux portfolio in Portugal.
“In our 35 years of working together, we have seen Fapimepe grow and Indaux has grown with them in the Portuguese market. The refurbishment of the showroom is a further step in the generational change process of this distributor, which has a solid business plan and strong customer focus” said Mikel Arzallus, Indaux’s Marketing & Sales Director.
Fapimepe was created by Álvaro Pires, Avelino Meireles and Jerónimo Santos 35 years ago, as a product distribution warehouse for the furniture sector. Over time it has diversified its activity and broadened its product portfolio when it went into the construction sector. Its increase of turnover brought with it new needs, principally in terms of human resources and storage space for the sold products.
Currently 22 people make up the Fapimepe workforce, which has two operating centres: a 3550 m2 warehouse in Casais da Serra (an easily accessible logistics centre 30 km from Lisbon), and the recently renovated showroom in Amadora.
