Ecommerce is getting more and more important, also in the B2B market. In the Netherlands, ecommerce has been adapted well. Our Dutch distributor Staalimex made the digital transformation a couple of years ago and this october launched the second version of their webshop. The platform has extended functionalities: Staalimex’ customers can easily order products, make project lists, view their backorders, and always have up to date stock and (customer specific) price information.
In 1996 the cooperation between Indaux and Staalimex was intensified. From that moment onwards Staalimex went on the Dutch market with the full product range of Indaux. Directly from the start the sliding doors program was made flagship, and with success. The systems Junior-2s, Junior-4 and later Junior-6 (with softclosing) have conquered a leading position in the Dutch market. This success was followed by the Ariana drawers, the Clock shelf assemblies and of course the Mesuco hinges. As a Spanish brand between the German and Austrian superpowers, it was initially not easy to acquire a good position. But with the efforts of Staalimex, in combination with Indaux’ attractive product range and pricing, Indaux became an established name in the Ducht market.
Staalimex holds stock of a very large part of the INDAUX assortment and is therefore able to supply the furniture market and interior builders with the required articles in 24 hours. Staalimex is a multidisciplinary company. Furniture fittings is its most important division, but its expertise in industrial wheels and warehouse interiors also has been around for many decades. This year Staalimex celebrated its 85th anniversary.
On 7 and 8 June, Indaux took part in the European Congress on DDMRP production planning technologies, held in Nice. The objectives of the meeting were to deepen knowledge of Demand Driven principles, discover best practices and listen to success stories analysed by the Demand Driven Institute.
